Our Mission Statement
Minster Playgroup, are dedicated to the social, emotional, and educational development of children in our early years within a stimulating, safe, caring, and fully inclusive setting.
Why Us?
Our Playgroups promote a safe, caring and supportive and inclusive environment where each child's self esteem is fostered by positive relationships with each other, staff and volunteers. We strive to have parents, carers and community members actively involved in our children's learning.
Staff love their jobs! For over 50 years, staff have evolved and offer highly experienced and qualified staff.

Special Educational Needs
We believe all children deserve the right to be included in early years education. Minster Playgroup have a wealth of experience and knowledge in supporting children with additional needs and ensure staff stay up to date with training and access relevant training to support all children.
All children and young people are entitled to an education that enables them to make progress so that they:•achieve their best •become confident individuals living fulfilling lives, and •make a successful transition into adulthood, whether into employment, further or higher education or training (SEN code of practice)
We support all children at a Universal level but sometimes, a little one might just need some additions to support their learning. We may speak to you about this and how we can work together by sharing strategies and some targets.
Worried about your little one?
Don't panic, all children develop at different rates, the first step is talking about it if you're unsure or have worries.
At Minster Playgroup, our staff are experienced and trained to support all children, we are proud that we offer an inclusive setting.
Our Special Educational Co-ordinators are Denise D at Minster and Danielle F at The Abbey Site. All are trained in SENCO and ready to assit you and support you in any capacity.
